ROSJ - Cultuurnacht Breda 2015
The video above shows the tryout we held in the atrium of the art academy primary to the cultural night.
In 2015 me and my classmates developed a multidisciplinary sculptural project to open the cultural night in Breda. My role was to conceptualise and oversee (together with two classmates) the development of visual effects, music, video mapping, lighting design and programming of all of these components. With the help of a musician, two animators and one programmer we managed to deliver a visual spectacle for all the senses cloaking our otherwise lifeless sculpture.
ROSJ teaser (above) includes all names of participants.
Kameleon - Graduation St.Joost 2016
Kameleon is a family of flat packed products aimed at delivering comfort and quality. Each product is assembled without the need for screws, bolts, nuts and tools. The table and chaise are currently in the final stages of development in the following months other furniture pieces will follow.
In 2016 I graduated for my bachelor in spatial design. The project I started was aimed at developing an entire family of easy to move furniture. I was able to develop and make two pieces of furniture and a small concept catalogue of essential furniture.
For my final presentation I made illustrations (above) to help explain the inner workings of my project.
Above the entire catalogue of products.
Smartphone amplifiers made from discarded cow horns. Mentioned on Dezeen (link) for the Launchbox design competition.
Canyon of rain.
Concept for an summer installation at Museumplein in Amsterdam.
A balancing lamp made through more than 60 hours of 3d printing.
Concepts for personal projects.
Concept homes drawn with Vectorworks and rendered in Cinema 4d. These were part of my classes in vector works.
Beech and leather sofa. The sofa started as an academy assignment but eventually turned in to a personal project. The big parts can be detached for transport. This project partially inspired my graduation project.
Ceramic Birds Nest.
To celebrate the 200 year anniversary of Akv St.Joost and Avans an design competition (link) was launched for a promotional gift. I won second place with my concept for a lamp that people would want to get. The design represented new generations cracking the old foundations of society only to improve the new.
